History of Ingenrath Castle+
Ingenrath Castle was first mentioned in 1402 under the noble family of the same name. In 1424, it was owned by the von Hertefeld family, and later by the Lords of Bocholtz. It was built in 1627, but was constantly expanded and rebuilt in the following centuries. Today, it is partly privately inhabited, and partly available for rent.
