Inkofen Castle, a simple yet impressive complex, is picturesquely situated on the steep slope of the Amper in the municipality of Haag an der Amper. This historic building is a testament to Bavarian aristocratic culture and remains in private ownership to this day.

History+

The origins of Inkofen Castle date back to the second half of the 16th century, when the three-story building with its characteristic half-hipped roof was constructed. For a long time, the castle has been closely associated with the family of the Counts La Rosée. The family's crypt chapel within the castle holds special historical significance, as it is the final resting place of Johann Kaspar Basselet von La Rosée, a Bavarian Lieutenant General Field Marshal and Director of the Court War Council.
