History+

The origins lie in a fortress that was first mentioned in 1181 in the records of the Lords of Inkofen. In the 16th century, the medieval complex was replaced by a new building that reflected the architectural style of the Renaissance. Further renovations and extensions in the 17th century gave the castle its Baroque character.
