In the municipality of Ittlingen in the Heilbronn district, Baden-Württemberg, Ittlingen Castle stands as a baroque manor house. It incorporates structural elements from an older predecessor building dating back to the 16th century.

History+

The castle's origins trace back to 1577, when the Barons of Gemmingen constructed a farmstead. The barrel-vaulted basement floor with its portal from this original structure is still preserved. Above this cellar entrance, the year 1577 and the coats of arms of the families von Gemmingen, Landschad von Steinach, and von Mentzingen are carved.
