In the Bavarian landscape stands Jellenkofen Castle, a structure with a hip roof. Originally known as a ducal Bavarian Hofmark, it has undergone various uses.

History+

The construction of Jellenkofen Castle took place between 1720 and 1730 as a square building. It once served as a ducal Bavarian Hofmark in Ergoldsbach. In 1872, when the poorhouse in Ergoldsbach, which was operated as a hospital by the Poor Franciscan Sisters, reached its capacity limits, the castle was additionally converted into a hospital for the convent sisters.
