Jettingen Castle is a four-winged complex with a high hip roof, located in Jettingen-Scheppach in the district of Günzburg, Bavaria. The building is known as the birthplace of personalities and is surrounded by an English park.

History+

The origins of Jettingen Castle date back to 1480, when Hans von Stain had a four-story moated castle with four round towers built on this site. Previously, a smaller moated castle stood in the same place. In 1748, Baron Johann Albrecht Schenk von Stauffenberg acquired the property, which later passed into ownership through his son Lothar Philipp Schenk von Stauffenberg. The castle gradually fell into disrepair until it was taken over by Franz Schenk von Stauffenberg in 1833.
