Kapfing Castle

The castle's origins date back to 1415 when it came into the possession of the later Barons of Eckher, remaining with them until 1643. Subsequently, it belonged to the Barons of Goder until 1780. In 1754, Hieronymus Count von Spreti, who had previously served as a page at the court of Elector Max Emanuel, married Antonia Baroness von Goder. This marriage led to Kapfing Castle becoming the ancestral seat of the Counts von Spreti from 1780. By the end of the 19th century, Adolf Count von Spreti chose the castle as his main residence.
