Construction and Early Years
Schloss Kasel was built by Friedrich Carl Leopold, Imperial Count of Solms-Baruth, after 1750. It was designed in the Neoclassical style with half-timbered cavalier houses, an orangery, and a park. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. In 1992, the complex was restored.
