Kauern Castle

The Kauern estate was owned by the Lords of Rudenitz in 1465. The castle was built in the 16th century as a two-wing complex. In 1701, the castle was rebuilt. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. In 1948, the north wing was demolished. Today, the building is used as a municipal administration and restaurant.
