Kirchentellingsfurt Castle

The cultural-historical collection in the castle has been accessible to the public since 1989. It is the result of many years of collecting and a donation from the late citizen Walter Tiedemann (1914-1989). The exhibits are very diverse and varied. On the first floor, one gains insight into the history of the town. A "Militaria Room" primarily contains exhibits from the 19th and 20th centuries, and much is also shown from the areas of bourgeois living and applied arts. Civil ceremonies still take place in the "Wedding Room" today. There is a fully furnished shoemaker's workshop, where the shoemaking craft is occasionally demonstrated. Old typewriters, mousetraps, crucifixes, Bibles, a butterfly collection, and many other everyday items from times past invite discovery.
