Klink Castle, a building in the Neo-Renaissance style, is situated in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It has round corner towers and bay windows, which evoke the architectural elegance of French Loire castles.
History+
Klink Castle was constructed at the end of the 19th century, in 1898, based on the designs of Berlin architect Hans Grisebach. The client was Arthur Schnitzler from Cologne, who was later ennobled. The Schnitzler family owned the estate until their expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945. After World War II, the building initially served as the municipal administration and housed apartments. In the 1970s, the castle underwent renovation and was subsequently used as a recreation home by the FDGB holiday service.
