Knutstorp Castle, a manor, is located in the southern Swedish municipality of Svalöv. It is known as the birthplace of the astronomer Tycho Brahe.

History+

Knutstorp's origins date back to the mid-14th century, when it was first mentioned as an estate. Towards the end of the Middle Ages, the property passed into the possession of the Danish noble family Brahe, who held it until 1663. Tycho Brahe was born here on December 14, 1546. After the Brahes, the castle changed hands and belonged to the noble families Tott and Ankarstierna.
