Köfering Castle, a moated castle, is situated in Bavaria.

The origins of Köfering Castle date back to the 12th century, when the Lords of Köfering built a moated castle on the Pfatter river. The fortress of Köfering was destroyed on December 26, 1491, during the uprising of the Löwlerbund. Since 1569, the estate has been owned by the Counts of Lerchenfeld. After being damaged in the Thirty Years' War, it was rebuilt in its current form between 1680 and 1720.
