In Laussa, Upper Austria, stands Kogl Castle. Originally a farmhouse, this estate was transformed into a castle.

History+

The transformation of the original farmhouse into a castle is attributed to Baron Colonel von Voglsang. The estate changed hands multiple times. Among the known owners were Josef Magerle, Karl Hesse, Karl Fiedler, and Josef Altmann. In 1891, Max Strobl von Ravelsberg acquired the castle. In 1930, it passed into the possession of Dr. Tomke, who in turn sold it to Mr. Untersinger in 1960. For a period, the renovated castle served as a guesthouse, but today it is uninhabited.
