Konradsreuth Castle
Konradsreuth Castle, a historic structure in the Upper Franconian district of Hof, is located on the northeastern edge of the village of the same name. It is an example of a well-preserved castle in private ownership.
History+
The origins of Konradsreuth Castle likely date back to the 13th century, when it served as the ancestral seat of the Lüchau family. The estate changed hands multiple times, later passing to the Rabensteiner zu Döhlau. Eventually, it came into the possession of the von Reitzenstein family, who still own the castle today.

Konradsreuth Castle remains in private ownership. Visitors can discern the structure of the main building, which is fronted by outbuildings. Although it is a private estate, traces of a former moat and remnants of an earlier motte-and-bailey castle are visible on the adjacent grounds.
