Krapperup Castle

The earliest records indicate a manor house on this site as early as the 14th century, then known as Krappatorp or Krapparp and owned by the noble family Krognos. The current castle building was erected approximately a century later. Krapperup changed hands multiple times through sales and inheritances, including noble families such as Podebusk, Rantzau, De la Gardie, Gyllenstierna, and von Kochen. In the 18th century, the estate was converted into a family fideicommiss by a member of the von Kochen family. Since 1967, the castle and manor have been owned by the Krapperup Foundation of the Gyllenstierna family.

Krapperup Castle is located in Höganäs, within the municipality of Höganäs in the historical province of Skåne in Sweden. It is situated at an elevation of approximately 27 meters above sea level.
