Krastowitz Castle, an 18th-century structure, is located in the east of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. It is characterized by its historicizing redesign in the 19th century and now serves as an educational institution.

History+

The origins of Krastowitz Castle date back to the 18th century when it was built. Among the first known owners were Johann von Schoberg and his wife Maria Barbara von Kulmer, whose double coat of arms from 1714 was once visible on the north side of the castle. In the 19th century, the castle underwent renovation under Baron von Reyer, which gave it its current historicizing appearance. In 1957, the property came into the possession of the Carinthian Chamber of Agriculture and has since housed its educational center. An extension with a training building was added in 1964 on the north side.
