Kressbach Castle, a former center of dominion, stands on a hill near Tübingen in Baden-Württemberg. It is an example of a country house that blends into the landscape and has retained its private character to this day.

History+

The first documented mention of the locality Kressbach dates back to around 1100. In the 16th century, the village came into the possession of the Lords of Ehingen, making it part of the Wankheim dominion. Later, Kressbach passed to the Lords of St. André, who erected the current Kressbach Castle in 1766. This structure subsequently served as the focal point of their rule. The castle garden and a Rococo fountain from this period have been preserved. In the 19th century, Kressbach was incorporated into Weilheim.
