Kristineberg Palace
On the island of Kungsholmen in Stockholm, Sweden, stands Kristineberg Palace. Originally built as a private residence, it now serves as an educational institution and is an element of local architecture.
History+
The origins of Kristineberg Palace date back to 1750, when it was built for the businessman R. Schröder. In 1864, the Swedish Freemasons acquired the estate and undertook expansions to the building. Later, in 1921, ownership passed to the City of Stockholm, which subsequently developed the surrounding Kristineberg district and established a school within the palace.
