Kronovall Castle

Kronovalls Castle lies in the Fågeltofta parish in the municipality Tomelilla. 1668 bought the Generalgovernor of Skåne, Baron Gustav Persson Baner the possession. End of the 17th Century the ownership changed to the family Sparre. 1760 the present castle was built on the walls of a previous. 1890 the castle was rebuilt in the French baroque style. 1991 the property was donated to the Foundation, which manages the castle and its estate of about 1500 acres. Since 1996 the family Åkesson rented a part of the castle and uses it as the seat of Akesson Wine Ltd. The family Sparre lives also in another part of the castle. The castle is now a hotel, restaurant and conference center.
