Kronwinkl Castle, also known as Alten-Preysing, is a structure on the high bank of the Isar River in the municipality of Eching in the district of Landshut. It is the original ancestral seat of the Preysing family and has a continuous ownership history, dating back to its founding.

History+

The origins of Kronwinkl Castle date back to the 12th or 13th century, when the keep was constructed. Since its inception, the castle has remained continuously in the possession of the Preysing family. The current residential buildings, which adjoin the Gothic curtain wall, were added in the 16th and 17th centuries and define the present appearance of the complex.
