Küblis Castle
Küblis Castle was constructed in 1642 by Dürig Enderli von Montzwick. It is located in the village of the same name in Graubünden, Switzerland. Later, the property passed to Captain Andreas von Sprecher through marriage. The construction year 1642 is associated with the conclusion of the Treaty of Feldkirch, which allowed a return to self-governance after the Bündner Wirren. It is presumed that Dürig Enderli awaited this more stable period to realize his building plans. The Enderli von Montzwick family, from which the builder originated, held high offices in the region for centuries.
Küblis Castle is situated at an altitude of approximately 813 meters above sea level in Küblis, a municipality in the Prättigau/Davos district in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland.
Today, Küblis Castle is privately owned and has been expertly restored with the support of the canton and heritage protection. It features a gate and, inside, baroque paneling and built-in furniture.
