Das Schloss wurde 1741 bis 1742 als Landsitz des Jakob von Küner errichtet. Von 1745 bis 1770 wurde das Schloss als Fayencefabrik genutzt. Von 1995 bis 1998 erfolgten Sanierungs- und Modernisierungsarbeiten.
