Labach Castle, a late Gothic noble residence, is located in Stuhlfelden-Wilhelmsdorf in the Zell am See district of Salzburg, Austria. Today it resembles a stately farmhouse.

History+

The estate of Lopach was first mentioned in 1352, when Archbishop Ortolf von Weißeneck sold it to his brother Heinrich. In 1393, Archbishop Pilgrim donated the estate as a benefice for an altar in Salzburg Cathedral. The property frequently changed hands, including Nikolaus Köll (1410) and Peter Chlamer (around 1490). A renovation took place in 1591 by Melchior Welser and his wife Emerenz Oberndorfferin, as evidenced by a marble tablet with an alliance coat of arms. After the Welsers, the property passed to Martin Doldy von Purk in 1680.
