Das Schloss wurde 1728 durch Christian Martin von Grafenreuth erbaut. Von 1929 bis 1972 diente es als Rathaus der bis dahin selbstständigen Gemeinde Laineck. Seit 1978 ist in dem Schloss ein Kindergarten untergebracht.
