Lambsheim Castle
In the municipality of Lambsheim in Rhineland-Palatinate is Lambsheim Castle, originally a hunting lodge. It is a baroque noble residence, once situated outside the town's fortifications, and now houses the town hall.
History+
The construction of Lambsheim Castle took place in 1706. It was owned by General von Efferen. In 1890, the building was extended. Originally designed as a moated castle and surrounded by a garden, the moats were filled in from 1968 onwards, and most of the garden was developed. An administrative building, also built in 1706 and belonging to the castle, was handed over to the municipality in 1936. After a renovation in 1991, this building has since served as the town hall.

Today, the former administrative building of the castle houses the Lambsheim town hall. The main castle building remains in private ownership.
