Lanegg Castle, also known as Lanegg Tower or Manor, is a historic structure in Tyrol, distinguished by its compact design as a residential tower. It is located in the market town of Brixlegg.

History+

The first documented mention of Lanegg Castle dates back to 1568. It is believed that the building was already constructed in the late Middle Ages. From around 1600 until the beginning of the 19th century, the castle was owned by the Faber von Lanegg family, who gave the estate its name. In the 16th century, a round stair tower was added to the originally square residential tower.

Lanegg Castle is situated on Faberstraße in Brixlegg, north of the Mehrn district, in the cadastral community of Zimmermoos. It is located in the Kufstein district in Tyrol, Austria, at an elevation of approximately 553 meters above sea level.
