Lanzendorf Castle, near Kulmbach, now serves as a community center. It was originally built as a fortress by the Wirsberger family.

The origins of Lanzendorf Castle trace back to the foundations of a former fortress, once owned by the Lords of Wirsberg. In 1625, during the turmoil of the Thirty Years' War, a reconstruction of the site took place. The castle's current appearance is characterized, among other features, by a sandstone portal and baroque windows dating from 1719.
