Lehrensteinsfeld Castle is located in the Heilbronn district of Baden-Württemberg. It is a Renaissance castle built in the late 16th century, later incorporating Neoclassical elements while preserving its original garden facade. Today, it houses a winery.

History+

The castle's origins stretch back to a motte mentioned in 1378, located on the same site. At that time, the Lords of Weinsberg permitted Siegfried von Michelfeld to build a house. Following a fire and the destruction of the old castle tower, described as "desolate" in 1535, Philipp von Gemmingen began new construction around 1540. The castle's current appearance took shape towards the end of the 16th century, incorporating older building components. In 1649, Field Marshal Ludwig von Schmidberg acquired the estate.
