In the Lenzfried district of Kempten in the Allgäu region, Lenzfried Castle stands as a listed building featuring a mansard and hip roof. It is located near Lenzfried Monastery and represents an example of late 18th-century architecture in the region.

History+

The origins of the current castle trace back to an earlier structure, a patrician manor from 1582, which belonged to Felix Kramer and featured stepped gables and corner towers. In 1762, Kempten Abbey acquired this property and had it demolished. Eight years later, in 1770, under Prince-Abbot Honorius Roth von Schreckenstein, who also had the orangery built, the present Lenzfried Castle was constructed.
