Leonstain Castle

The origins of Schloss Leonstain date back to the 16th century, with the core structure stemming from this period. It is believed that the building once functioned as the economic center for Leonstein Castle. The castle underwent various transformations, particularly in the 19th and 20th centuries, which integrated with the original Renaissance style. A feature is the year 1598, visible along with a coat of arms fresco above the entrance gate, indicating a construction phase. Later extensions in the 20th century, such as the covered corner bay window from 1937 and the additions on the east side, were also stylistically adapted to the historic character.
