Liebenstein Castle

In the southwestern part of Jebenhausen, a district of Göppingen, is Liebenstein Castle. It remains inhabited to this day.
History+
The family of the Barons of Liebenstein shaped the history of the locality, holding sole dominion over the area from 1467 onwards. In 1686, Philipp Albrecht von Liebenstein initiated the construction of the current castle, replacing an older fortification. This new castle was built in the river valley.

Liebenstein Castle is located in Göppingen-Jebenhausen, within the Göppingen district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It stands at an elevation of approximately 329 meters above sea level.
