West of Hechingen in the Zollernalb district lies Lindich Castle, a Rococo ensemble. It was once built as a hunting and pleasure palace for the Princes of Hohenzollern-Hechingen.

History+

Between 1738 and 1741, Prince Friedrich Ludwig commissioned the construction of Lindich Castle. It served the Princes of Hohenzollern-Hechingen as a hunting and pleasure palace and, at times, even as a residence. The arrangement of the surrounding cavalier houses is said to have later served Duke Carl Eugen of Württemberg as inspiration for the construction of Solitude Palace.
