Schloss Lüntenbeck in Wuppertal is a former moated castle, one of the city's oldest and largely unaltered structures. Originally a knight's seat, it is among the historic estates in the Solingen district and today serves as a venue for meetings and gastronomy.

History+

The first documented mention of Haus Lüntenbeck dates back to 1217, when it was recorded as a farm belonging to the Gerresheim convent. The cellar vault of the current manor house likely originates from this early period. After the Thirty Years' War, the mill tower and the eastern half-timbered house, probably built as an administration building, were constructed. The two-and-a-half-story main building with its attached tower was also erected in the High Baroque style.
