Lürzerhof Castle, a manor from the 17th century, is located in the Austrian city of Salzburg and now serves as the State Institute for the Hearing Impaired.

History+

Originally, a farm stood on this site, documented as early as 1566. In the early 17th century, master builder Andreas Pernegger erected a manor house here. Owners included Johann von Fletting, captain of Hohensalzburg Fortress, and Georg Ehrenreich Stockhamer. In the 18th century, Matthias Lürzer acquired the estate, whose name lives on in the building's name. After 1807, it temporarily served as an inn. In 1860, Moritz O’Donnell purchased the castle for his wife Clotilde Countess Hardegg, who used it as a summer residence.
