In the Nordwestmecklenburg district, Lütgenhof Castle is a Neoclassical building that now serves as a hotel. It dates back to the 19th century.

The origins of today's Lütgenhof Castle trace back to the Middle Ages, when a small castle at this site secured the crossing of the Dassow Bridge. The name Lütgenhaue was first mentioned around 1744. After several changes of ownership, including Christian August von Berkentin and Friedrich von Eyben, Justice Councilor Moritz Christian Paepcke acquired the estate in 1815. Following his ennoblement in 1839, he had the first manor house built, which forms the core of the current castle. Until 1945, the estate was managed by the Edler von Paepcke family.
