Das Rittergut Lützow

The Lützow manor was owned by the von Lützow family since the 13th century. In 1845, ownership changed to the Counts of Bassewitz-Behr, who built the castle in neo-Gothic style on the walls of an old manor house in 1876. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. After this, the castle served as accommodation for refugees and until 1991 as a school for the Deutsche Reichsbahn. In 2005, the castle was sold and subsequently renovated. Today, a horse breeding farm is operated on the estate.
