Luftenberg Castle
Luftenberg Castle is the castle-like developed manor farm of Luftenberg Castle in the Upper Austrian market town of Luftenberg an der Donau.

While the old fortress Luftenberg Castle was left to decay from the mid-17th century onwards, the associated manor farm was extensively expanded into a castle-like building (Neu-Luftenberg). This consists of two opposing, elongated wings, connected in the middle by a transverse tract. On the connecting central tract there is a gatehouse with a superimposed turret with an onion dome, which was removed after a fire.
The central tract forms two courtyards, each enclosed by a wall. The gate in the wall of the rear courtyard provided a direct connection to the castle. The front wall of the front courtyard has a gatehouse with flanking round towers, which, however, were removed. The moat in front of it, facing the flat foreland, was passable via a movable bridge.
Around 1901, Luftenberg Castle housed a trotter stud farm, served as a refuge for people from the former Gusen concentration camp in the days after World War II, and has been part of the facilities of the Linz Golf Club Luftenberg since 1990.
