Luftenberg Castle, a structure in Upper Austria, emerged from the former farmstead of Luftenberg Castle. It is characterized by its castle-like transformation and is situated in the municipality of Luftenberg an der Donau.

History+

While the original Luftenberg Castle gradually fell into disrepair from the mid-17th century onwards, its associated farmstead underwent extensive expansion and conversion into a castle-like complex, known as Neu-Luftenberg. Around 1901, the estate housed a trotter stud farm and served as a refuge for people from the former Gusen concentration camp after World War II. Since 1990, it has been part of the facilities of the Linz Golf Club Luftenberg.
