Marienlay Castle (Morscheid)
Schloss Marienlay, a structure built from slate quarry stones, rises on the eastern slope of the Ruwer Valley. It is an example of early 1920s architecture in Rhineland-Palatinate and today houses a winery.
History+
The origins of the estate date back to around 1880, when a press house stood on this site. The current Schloss Marienlay was rebuilt between 1922 and 1927. Slate quarry stones were used for its construction.

Schloss Marienlay is located in Morscheid, a municipality in the Trier-Saarburg district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated at an elevation of approximately 212 meters above sea level.

Today, Schloss Marienlay serves as the headquarters of a winery. The building remains in use.
