A manor house was first mentioned in a document around 1300 as being in the possession of the Prince-Bishopric of Augsburg. In 1315, Chunrad der Vegler and his brother Eberlein are mentioned as owners. Around 1400, the manor was owned by Lienhard Rutzenlacher.
