Michelbach Castle, also known as the New Castle, is an early Baroque edifice in Zaberfeld-Michelbach am Heuchelberg. It today serves as a restaurant.

History+

The origins of Michelbach Castle date back to 1709, when it was constructed under Johann Bernhard von Sternenfels. It was built upon the foundations of an older structure. A preserved portal on the southern eaves side displays the coat of arms of the Sternenfels family and the year of construction. A remnant of the predecessor building is a bricked-up cellar door from 1596 on the western gable side.
