Mosisgreut Castle

The Mosisgreut Manor is a hunting lodge with a medieval predecessor from the 16th century, located in a landscape protection area. A faithful restoration took place between 2005 and 2008. The hunting lodge is surrounded by a historic ensemble of buildings: an inner courtyard with a Neo-Gothic east wing, a former brickworks and cheese dairy building, a two-story farm building made of granite blocks, a moat with a natural stone bridge, and a Gothic chapel. Its original furnishings include an altar created by Theodor Schnell the Elder. In 2012, the owners were awarded the Baden-Württemberg Heritage Protection Prize for the historically appropriate renovation of the main building.
