The New Castle of Neckarzimmern, originally built in the 17th century, now serves as the town hall and is a central part of Neckarzimmern's historical ensemble.

History+

A dendrological examination of the timber used for construction indicates a felling year of 1657, suggesting the castle's erection around that time. In 1873, the building underwent renovations, giving it its current appearance. For a long period, it served as the residence of the Lords of Gemmingen-Hornberg. In 1932, the castle was sold to the municipality and has since been utilized as the town hall. Together with the former rent office and the Old Wine Press, it forms a historical ensemble.
