Neu-Dettingen Castle, today known as Burghof, is a castle ruin on the southwest shore of Lake Überlingen near the Dettingen district of the city of Konstanz in the Konstanz district in Baden-Württemberg.
The lowland castle was built by the Lords of Dettingen towards the end of the 12th century as an outer bailey of Alt-Dettingen Castle, renovated in the style of a castle after 1320, and destroyed by fire in 1642. Around 1661, the castle was rebuilt and came into the possession of the Mainau Commandery of the Teutonic Order.
Layout+
The former castle complex today shows a 12.20 by 12.53 meter large, three-story, almost square residential building with stepped gables. The former castle is now used as a forestry office.
