Neudeck Castle
The two-story main wing of the castle was built in 1521 by a Mr. von Brandenstein. The castle remained in the possession of the von Brandenstein family until 1615, who were one of the wealthiest families in the area during the Middle Ages, and then passed to the von Schleinitz family. In the mid-17th century, a large stair tower was added, and in 1687, it was sold to Johann Patow from Mallenchen. The building received Baroque forms after renovations in 1711.
In 1763, the castle came into the possession of Hartmann von Landwuest and passed into bourgeois hands in 1830.
From 1904 to 1905, a comprehensive renovation was carried out by Viktor Lettre. The last owner until his expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945 was the razor blade manufacturer Otto Roth.
After the war, it housed a police academy until 2002. Subsequently, it was sold to a private investor.
A park adjoins the castle.
