Neudenau Castle, a complex dating back to the 13th century, once served as an imperial fortress and later as the seat of the Mainz Cellarer. Today, it houses a museum in the Baden-Württemberg region.

The origins of Neudenau Castle trace back to the 13th century, when it was built as an imperial castle to secure the trade route between Heilbronn and Wimpfen. Its first documented mention dates to 1236. In 1303, Emperor Albrecht I pledged the castle to the Lords of Weinsberg.
