History+

The origins of Neuenhof date back to 1405, when the locality was first documented. At that time, the knights Johann and Wenzel von Stein sold their “Neuer Hof” to Knight Helwig von Rakgus. Already in 1411, the Lords of Reckrodt acquired the property from his heirs and shaped the development of the village until 1777 through their judicial rule. Later, the estate passed to the Riedesel family.
