Neuenstadt Castle stands in Neuenstadt am Kocher.

History+

The origins of the castle date back to 1392, when a castle belonging to the Lords of Weinsberg was mentioned at this location. Between 1559 and 1565, the oldest part of the current castle was built on these ancient foundations. This three-story north wing, known as the Dürnizbau, features a Renaissance portal on its east side. In the second half of the 17th century, the equally three-story east wing, the Prinzessenbau, was added.
