Geschichte+
The castle was built in the 14th century by the Lords of Haselbeck. Ownership changed to the Dukes of Bavaria-Landshut, the Lords of Eberspeck and Kraus zu Münchsdorf. In 1633, the castle was destroyed by Swedish troops during the Thirty Years' War. In the middle of the 17th century, a new building was constructed by the von Haunsperg family. After this, ownership passed to Emanuel Graf Arco, the Counts Törring, the Counts Holnstein, Graf Monteglas and the Princes Thurn und Taxis.

After extensive restoration work in 1988, it was converted into a hotel.
