The History of Windhaag Castle+

The castle was built in 1654 by Joachim von Windhaag. In 1882, the municipality of Neumarkt an der Ybbs bought the property.

From the Middle Ages to the Early Modern Period+

The first documented mention of a "Veste Windhaag" dates back to 1278.
